Macadamia oil contains palmitoleic acid, a fatty acid that naturally occurs in human sebum but declines as we age. This makes it uniquely suited to facial skincare.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons cold-pressed macadamia oil
- 1 tablespoon rosehip seed oil
- 1 tablespoon jojoba oil
- 4 drops frankincense essential oil
- 3 drops rosemary essential oil
- 2 drops vitamin E oil (as a natural preservative)
Method
- Combine: Pour all carrier oils into a small, dark glass dropper bottle (30ml size works well).
- Add essentials: Add the essential oils and vitamin E oil.
- Mix: Cap the bottle and roll gently between your palms for 30 seconds to blend.
- Label: Note the date. Use within 6 months.
To Use
- Apply 3–4 drops to clean, slightly damp skin in the evening.
- Press gently into the face and neck with fingertips. Do not rub.
- Allow to absorb for a few minutes before applying any night cream.
Why Macadamia Oil Works for Faces
Unlike heavier oils, macadamia oil absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue. Its palmitoleic acid content makes it especially beneficial for mature or dry skin types, helping to restore the skin's natural protective barrier.
