Macadamia Oil Facial Serum for Dry Skin

Macadamia oil contains palmitoleic acid, a fatty acid that naturally occurs in human sebum but declines as we age. This makes it uniquely suited to facial skincare.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cold-pressed macadamia oil
  • 1 tablespoon rosehip seed oil
  • 1 tablespoon jojoba oil
  • 4 drops frankincense essential oil
  • 3 drops rosemary essential oil
  • 2 drops vitamin E oil (as a natural preservative)

Method

  1. Combine: Pour all carrier oils into a small, dark glass dropper bottle (30ml size works well).
  2. Add essentials: Add the essential oils and vitamin E oil.
  3. Mix: Cap the bottle and roll gently between your palms for 30 seconds to blend.
  4. Label: Note the date. Use within 6 months.

To Use

  1. Apply 3–4 drops to clean, slightly damp skin in the evening.
  2. Press gently into the face and neck with fingertips. Do not rub.
  3. Allow to absorb for a few minutes before applying any night cream.

Why Macadamia Oil Works for Faces

Unlike heavier oils, macadamia oil absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue. Its palmitoleic acid content makes it especially beneficial for mature or dry skin types, helping to restore the skin's natural protective barrier.
