Dukkah is a fragrant Egyptian spice and nut blend. This version uses macadamias for an extra-rich crunch.
Ingredients
- 1 cup macadamia nuts
- ¼ cup sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons coriander seeds
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Method
- Toast nuts: Dry-roast macadamias 3–4 minutes until golden.
- Toast seeds and spices: Toast sesame seeds, then coriander, cumin, and peppercorns.
- Grind: Grind spices to a coarse powder.
- Combine: Chop macadamias and mix with ground spices and sesame seeds.
Keeps at room temperature for up to 3 weeks. Serve with olive oil and crusty bread.
