Being part of the Chipinge community means more than just farming. About a mile from our orchard sits the Mugiyo Primary School, and it breaks our hearts to see the conditions these children are learning in.
The school buildings are in a very bad state of repair. Classrooms have no plaster left on the walls, no flooring, and only a basic tin roof overhead. Despite these conditions, the children and teachers show up every day with determination and enthusiasm for learning. Their resilience is truly humbling.
We believe that every child deserves a safe, dignified learning environment. That's why we're supporting efforts to raise funds for essential renovations — proper plastering, concrete floors, and improved roofing that can withstand the rainy season.
As our orchard grows and becomes more productive, we're committed to increasing our support for local schools, healthcare, and community infrastructure. The success of Bongo Macadamia Orchards is inseparable from the wellbeing of the community around us. When the community thrives, we all thrive.
